Atom5™ captures multiple, high-frequency data points from video, voice, wearables and ePRO and, analyses the data in conjunction with our data scientists to provide rich, real-time insights to clinical teams. 

The Role

We are looking for an experienced Cloud DevSecOps Engineer that’s results-driven and who will work with our team to manage, develop, troubleshoot and improve cloud applications and processes.

The Cloud DevSecOps Engineer will use their skills to operationally support Aparito’s Atom5™ Software-as-a-Service offering, as well as work on building cloud capability within the growing technical team

As a Cloud DevSecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for working closely with the CTO, Development and Compliance Teams to ensure the timely and quality delivery of projects. This is a very hands-on role in ensuring a smooth and efficient release process of the Atom5™ platform, as well as maintaining the high-security posture of the platform and the company.

Objectives

As a Cloud DevSecOps Engineer you will:

  • Support the business in managing the cloud infrastructure of Aparito Atom5™ cloud software 
  • Oversee, monitor, document and improve security practices implementation relating to Cloud and network infrastructure
  • Support development team by assisting in Gitlab management, Continuous Integration and release processes
  • Support compliance team in documenting processes related to Atom5™ infrastructure and security setup and practices.
  • Support CTO in building and expanding Cloud DevSecOps team at Aparito

Responsibilities

  • Operationally support Aparito Atom5™ platform on Azure cloud infrastructure: deployments, patching, monitoring, alerting, troubleshooting, release management
  • Lead initiative for improving infrastructure automation processes
  • Review and improve security within the Aparito network and infrastructure
  • Work with development teams in establishing best practices with Continuous Integration and Automated Deployments
  • Participate in the hiring process and mentor new team members in DevSecOps practices
  • Support compliance team in documenting processes related to Atom5™ infrastructure and security setup and practices.

Required Skills

  • A solid understanding of the Linux user space 
  • Good knowledge of scripting using bash or Python and networking
  • Experience with public cloud offerings from major cloud providers (Azure experience is a plus)
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices and experience with SIEM systems and security compliance
  • Passion for automated processes, with working knowledge of at least of automation framework e.g. Azure Powershell, Terraform,  Ansible
  • A keen interest in new technologies

Desirable Skills

  • Experience in managing application on Azure cloud 
  • Experience with metrics, monitoring, alerting and logging systems; e.g. Sensu, Graphite, ELK, Prometheus, CloudWatch
  • Understanding of containers and experience with Docker
  • Experience with advance user  management in Google Workplace and Office365/Azure (SSO, audit, etc) 

Package

  • £65,000 – £80,000 depending on skills and experience + pension + benefits
  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday
  • 32 days holiday per year, increasing with service
  • Hybrid working, 1-2 days per week from the office in Wrexham, the remainder from home (negotiable)

Senior QA/Test Engineer – Mobile Applications

The Role

We are looking for a skilled and capable QA/Test Engineer to join our team! This is a chance to shape a growing health-tech business by launching digital products to the market. You will be working with a team of experts in technology and healthcare to provide life-changing solutions for our clients. 

As a Senior QA Engineer, you will be responsible for working closely with the Project and Development Teams to ensure the timely and quality delivery of projects. This is a very hands-on role to test in-house applications by designing, writing and updating test cases and test scripts. 

In return, you will gain expertise in adapting your skills in the fast-growing sector of health tech and clinical trials tech,  working alongside our committed in-house teams of product and tech leads, clinicians, and data scientists.

Responsibilities

  • Drive QA throughout the full lifecycle of the software product: making sure that testing/QA is part of the product from the inception, continues into the development/build phase and as part of the support and release cycle.
  • Contribute to test planning by reviewing functional and non-functional requirements, raising issues and rejecting poor and/or unclear requirements. 
  • Write test cases and scripts. 
  • Maintain and execute the regression test suite. 
  • Ensure full requirements coverage and traceability within test specifications, including non-functional requirements. 
  • Work within the Quality Assurance and Test function to ensure testing follows best practices and aligns with the agreed QA Strategy. 
  • Champion the need for testing processes, explaining the benefits and justifications across development and wider business functions.

Skills and Qualifications

Essential

  • Demonstrable understanding of best practices in systems Integration and end-to-end application testing. 
  • Good understanding of development processes and collaboration with technical dev and infrastructure teams.
  • Experience in testing web and mobile applications.
  • Ability to access database systems to aid testing (e.g. SQL scripts)
  • Ability to perform user-centric testing to identify issues early, as well as troubleshoot live systems.
  • Experience in working in an agile environment (Scrum, Kanban etc).
  • Understanding of scripting tools and languages. 
  • Experience with automated testing tools for web, mobile and/or API testing automation.

Desirable

  • Experience in working in highly regulated sectors (eg fintech, health tech).
  • Experience with the mobile application release process to App/Play stores, including tools like Test Flight.
