Aparito hosted a joint webinar with Institute For Advanced Clinical Trials For Children (I-ACT for Children) titled “Remote Patient Monitoring and Children in the COVID 19 Pandemic: What’s the Opportunity and What’s the Impact”.
The webinar focused on exploring the impact that COVID-19 has had on remote patient monitoring for children taking part in clinical trials. We were joined by clinicians who experienced first-hand the use of technology during the pandemic, experts with patient advocacy, and technology backgrounds. The FDA presented opportunities that this pandemic may have to offer with the use of technology. Although many clinical studies were halted during the global pandemic, more companies and clinicians are considering patient remote monitoring as a solution to prioritise patients’ safety in these uncertain times.
